Slek is an app for training planning, tracking and coaching, built for endurance sports: running, trail running, triathlon, cycling, swimming, athletics… On the pricing side the logic is simple: you start for nothing on the Free plan, you move to Premium the day you want to be coached or to plan your workouts ahead, and coaches as well as clubs pay nothing at all. Further down we explain why coaching itself always stays free.

Everything in the Free plan
To coach someone, all it takes is for your athlete to subscribe to Premium. As a coach, the Free plan is enough, so it stays free for you! And there is no cost for clubs either. To send your workouts to a whole group without ever seeing anyone’s data, there are also training squads: one Premium subscription within the group is enough.
At Slek we like sports clubs and the community life around them, which very often rests on volunteers. If someone competent already gives up their own free time to coach athletes at their club for nothing, we are not going to ask them to pay on top of that!
When a young athlete trains with a club, a school sports programme and a county, regional or national group, managing the load properly gets genuinely complicated! Most of the time you only notice after the fact that the week was far too heavy! With this approach, everyone involved can add their own programme before the lead coach signs off on the whole thing.
A sports science student, or someone on a governing body coaching course, can easily start coaching at their club with a powerful digital tool while an experienced coach keeps an eye on things.
Clubs and coaches who are starting out often do not have much money. Asking them for a flat entry fee can put them in a tight spot.
A coach or a club can of course choose to pay for their athletes’ subscriptions, just as they pay for travel costs and the rest.
Yes, and it is a deliberate choice: we want to back volunteer coaching and club life. In practice, to work with an athlete all you need is a Free account: your athlete is the one who subscribes to Premium, not you. So there is no subscription to pay in order to coach, for a single athlete or for a whole group, on your own or alongside other coaches.
Premium works out at €5 incl. VAT / month when you pay for the year, which is €60 incl. VAT / year. If you prefer to pay monthly, it is €6 incl. VAT / month. Paying yearly therefore gives you roughly two months free over the year compared with the monthly price. The Free plan stays free for as long as you want it.
Yes. You get a 30-day free trial without even giving a card number. You can try planning, building a training plan, calendar sync and the AI assistant before you decide whether the subscription is worth it for you.
No. The price does not depend on your discipline, on how many workouts you do, or on how many athletes you follow. Premium costs the same whatever your sport. And on the coaching side, since it is free, working with a single athlete or with a whole group makes no difference to the bill.
One subscription covers a whole group. Joining a squad, accepting or declining a workout and receiving it on your watch are all free: members have nothing to subscribe to. Only creating the squad needs a Premium subscription, and the squad stays active as long as at least one of its coaches is Premium. It works just as well for the licensed members of a club as for colleagues who run together in the evening or at lunchtime. The club itself pays nothing.
No, it is not a separate module: it is the Slek workout editor, available whenever you describe a workout, for coaches and for athletes. You drop your blocks (warm-up, effort, recovery, ramp, repeated block, cool-down) into the diagram, then set the targets as a percentage of VO2max speed, of max heart rate or of FTP, or in zones, pace, watts or RPE. Planning workouts is part of the Premium subscription, but you can build your workout library without it.
The AI assistant comes with Premium and can be used in two ways. Either directly inside Slek, billed as you go from prepaid credit: we pass on the cost price of the requests plus a small margin, with no package forced on you. Or through the MCP connector (Model Context Protocol): if you already pay for an AI assistant such as Claude or Mistral, you plug it into Slek and it covers the cost of the requests, at no extra charge on our side. The connector is a little less convenient than the built-in assistant and does not offer the same privacy guarantee. Note that, as things stand, ChatGPT does not make this kind of MCP connection straightforward.
Your data belongs to you. Import and export of all your data are included from the Free plan onwards: if you stop Premium, you keep everything and simply move back to the free plan. Only your future planned workouts stop being readable, since that is precisely what the Premium subscription is for.
If you coach, the page for coaches goes into season planning, the workout library and load tracking. For a club or a group that runs together, everything goes through training squads.
If you train for yourself, with or without a coach, have a look at what Slek changes day to day. And to plug your own AI assistant into your training data, the MCP connector documentation tells you how to go about it.
