Calendar
This page connects Slek to your usual calendar (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook…), both ways:
- export your workouts, races and notes to see them in your calendar;
- import your external calendars (work, personal…) into Slek so you don't schedule a workout on a slot that's already taken.
This is a Premium feature. Without a subscription, the page only shows an invitation to go Premium.
1. See your workouts in your calendar app
This is the export half. Slek generates a personal link (an ICS feed) that you add once to your calendar app: your Slek data then shows up there automatically.
What the feed contains
Below the link, three toggles choose what gets published:
- Workouts: your planned workouts, with the target breakdown (duration, distance, zones…) and a link to open the workout in Slek.
- Races: your races, as all-day events, with their priority (①②③).
- Notes: your notes, as all-day events, with a link back to Slek.
If no toggle is on, the link stays valid but the feed is empty (the link is greyed out to signal it). You can therefore set up the link before deciding what it contains.
Copy and regenerate the link
- Copy puts the link on your clipboard.
- "Regenerate link" creates a new one and disables the old one. If you had already added it somewhere, remember to replace it there. A confirmation keeps you from doing it by accident.
This link is secret: anyone who has it can see your workouts, races and notes. Don't publish it — if it leaks, regenerate it.
Adding it to your calendar
The link is a subscription (not a file to import once). In your app:
- Google Calendar: "Other calendars" → "From URL" → paste the link.
- Apple Calendar: File menu → "New Calendar Subscription" → paste the link.
- Outlook: "Add calendar" → "Subscribe from web" → paste the link.
Each app refreshes the subscription at its own pace (from a few minutes to several hours, especially with Google). A change made in Slek therefore doesn't appear in your calendar instantly.
2. Import external calendars
This is the import half. You can add up to 5 external calendars: their events show up in your week and day views, in a distinct color, so you can spot your constraints (work, family…) without mixing them up with your workouts.
Adding a calendar
You need the ICS URL of the calendar to import (for example, in Google Calendar: calendar settings → "Secret address in iCal format").
Click the add card (the last one, dashed, marked with a +), then fill in:
- ICS URL (required, must use
https). - Calendar name (optional — left empty, Slek uses the source calendar's own name).
- Detail level:
- "Event title + description": you see each event's title and content;
- "Only the calendar name": you only see busy slots, without their titles (handy for a personal calendar).
- Display color.
Managing your calendars
Each imported calendar appears as a card showing its name, color, detail level and sync status: "Synced" followed by the date, "Waiting for first sync…" before the first pass, or an error message. Click a card to edit or delete it (red button, with confirmation).
The very first calendar you add is synced almost right away; a calendar added afterwards only appears on the next sync pass. After that, Slek resyncs each calendar automatically in the background, every 15 minutes to an hour depending on the source.
Where imported events appear
- In the week view and the day / hourly view, as well as in availability mode.
- Not in the multi-week views (2 and 3 weeks).
- Click an event to see its details (date, duration, and — in "Event title + description" mode — the event's title and description).
3. Privacy
Your imported calendars are only visible to you: if a coach switches onto your profile, they don't see them. And with the "Only the calendar name" mode, Slek doesn't even store any title or description — only the time slots.
4. A problem?
If you run into a problem, don't hesitate to contact Slek from the contact page.
