The last few weeks have been (very) busy at Slek.
On top of the new website, here is what not to miss since the April notes.
📅 Sync your Slek calendar with Google, Apple or Outlook
Some of you have been waiting a long time for this: you can now make Slek talk to your usual calendar, in both directions. It lives in Settings > Calendar.

- Export: Slek generates a link for you to add once to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. Your workouts (with the target detail and a link to open them in Slek), your races and your notes then appear in your calendar automatically. Three switches let you choose what you want to see there.
- Import: add up to 5 external calendars (work, personal life) via their private iCal/ICS link. Their events appear in your timeline, 1 week and availability views.
For each calendar you choose a name, a colour and how much detail to show (title and description, or simply the calendar’s name, “Work” for instance).
This is a Premium feature. The export link is personal and secret: do not share it, because anyone who has it can see your workouts. Bear in mind too that calendar apps only refresh at their own pace (from a few minutes to several hours), so a change made in Slek can take a little while to show up there.
You are the only one who sees the events imported from your calendar. Your coach does not.
💳 A completely redesigned Subscription page
The Settings > Subscription page has been entirely rebuilt to be clearer and to let you manage the whole family’s subscriptions in one place, by creating a billing account.
You can also give Premium as a gift without even creating a Slek account, at https://app.slek.app/en/account. For an athlete’s birthday you can give a 12-month subscription, with a share link by email and a printable PDF in the style of a gift card.
🗑️ You can now delete your account yourself
Here is a feature we hope you will never want to use. A “Danger zone” has appeared at the bottom of Settings > Profile, letting you delete your account on your own.

One click and your account is locked immediately, and we send you an email with a cancellation link. You have 7 days to change your mind; after that, all your data is permanently erased.
Clicked too fast? Do not panic: the “I changed my mind” link in the email restores your account for the whole grace period.
While we were at it, the same page also lets you remove a sign-in method (password, Google or Apple), as long as you keep at least one.
Other improvements, in no particular order
⌚ Your Garmin metrics are back
Syncing Garmin daily metrics (resting HR, night-time HRV, weight, sleep) works again after being disabled for months. We took the opportunity to add a new metric: step count. And the Garmin sync settings are simplified into a single switch, “Daily metrics”.
Careful: if resting HR feeds into the calculation of your HR zones, make sure its night-time measurement is not wildly off, or else turn metric syncing off.
🏃 Import of manually entered Strava activities
Following on from April’s Strava integration, Slek now also picks up the activities you enter by hand in Strava, with no device file.
🧭 Smoother navigation
A lot of optimisation work went in, and you will notice it most on slower connections.
On a computer, moving between the settings pages is smoother too.
Security
Finally, we spend a lot of time every week at Slek making sure your data is safe, so we have also done what was needed to reduce the risk of intrusion as far as we can.
